Webhosting Paid for the next year
M.A.C.O. News

I have paid for another year of web hosting of the MACO website.

The cost was $107.40 and will provide a place for our website for one more year from today.

Of course, anyone who can pitch in to help with this cost is appreciated.  There is a link on this site where you can donate what you can  to help offset the cost of this site I have already invested in.  Every little bit helps and is appreciated.

Our site is one of our most important means to communicate with each other right up there with Team Speak.  Our website a link to our heritage past, present, and future.  The site belongs to all of us. So please support the website if you can.

Teamspeak Reminder
M.A.C.O. News

All users of teamspeak must follow the proper format for screennames. Your screen name must consist of your rank an ingame name, example :

Commander Rikkus or Cmdr Rikkus

Not using your rank counts as being "out of uniform" and can get you excluded from clan activity.

Vlad is at it again.
M.A.C.O. News

Our old friend Vlad of the IRS is back.  Not with our alliance as far as I know (of this writing)  But rather he seems to have decided to harras a large alliance (nulsec) this time by sending an ultimatum demanding 100million isk with the next 24 hours.

Of course, the alliance (stange brew) replied inviting him to roll on down to Null sec for a righteous ass kicking.  It will be interesting what Vlad decides to do.

But yea, the asshole is back.

In Rememberence of LTC Jack Mortivore
M.A.C.O. News

It is my sad duty to announce the real life loss of LTC Jack Mortivore of MACO Eve.

High command just recently obtained information informing us that he passed away after fighting a life threating illness approximately a year ago.
LTC Mortivore was in command of MACO EVE until around this time last year. MACO had many important operations occur under his command that included mass mining, Wormhole combat and PVP.  He then suddenly disappeared from active play and no one knew why until now.  This is of course very sad news indeed.

It was an honor serving under him when he was the commander of MACO Eve at the time.  He was no nonsense leader who inspired his subordinates to be at their best and was a great friend to us all.

It hoped that his family found comfort for their grief and wish them the best in spite of their loss.

Sail the stars in peace on your eternal patrol Jack.  You will be missed.

Please check it out with our new members and get back to me if further issues with registration occurs.

NOTE:  new members will STILL have to be MANUALLY activated however by an admin of the command staff

Special Ops TV Show On the Military channel
M.A.C.O. News

I just watched a TV show on the Military channel called Special Ops.  It can be seen on Sundays at 6pm (1800) Pacific time.  (It shows at other times during the week though)

It is a reality show where real  SF operators run a live scenario mission using paintball ammo to simulate kills.  Typically haveing a single operator ("Whiskey Wiskey") against a group of at least 5 OPFOR who are also trained SF operators.  The situations can be intense drama and clearly difficult.  Missions can vary greatly and have at least three objectives in each one.  It can be blowing up an ammo dump in one,  saving a downed pilot in another, or even then sniping a drug lord the next.

I think its a good show and worth time seening.
